## Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Risk Manager to join our Risk Management Business Risk Office team at Capital One. As a Risk Manager, you will play a critical role in mitigating risk for our customers, communities, and associates. You will partner with executives and their teams to identify and monitor risks in an open, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

- Partner collaboratively with Risk Advisors, business areas, risk data management team, and other risk management partners

- Support internal audits and exams as needed

- Participate in and execute special projects for the team

- Demonstrate effective communication and influence across multiple functional areas and levels of the organization

- Provide clear, actionable recommendations to ensure process and controls are executing as intended

- Solve problems and engage in critical thinking to continuously improve risk practices

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree or military experience

- At least 5 years of experience working in risk management, audit, or quality assurance programs

- At least 3 years of experience with querying, analyzing, and working with data and scripting languages such as Python, R, Spark, or SQL

- At least 2 years of experience working with process and project management and improvement practices

Preferred Qualifications:

- 6+ years of experience working in risk management, audit, or formal quality assurance programs

- 4+ years of experience working with at least one scripting language such as Python, R, Spark, or SQL

- 3+ years of experience working with process and project management and improvement practices

- Experience working in the financial services industry

- Experience with Governance, Risk, and Compliance software tools

Salary: McLean, VA: $151,900 - $173,400 Richmond, VA: $138,100 - $157,700 Riverwoods, IL: $138,100 - $157,700 Chicago, IL: $138,100 - $157,700
