## Description

As a Senior Manager, Data Science - AI Foundations at Capital One, you will lead the next wave of disruption using the latest in computing and machine learning technologies. You will be part of a team that builds and ships state-of-the-art scalable architecture and AI/ML solutions for Capital One's award-winning mobile app.

In this role, you will:

- Partner with a cross-functional team to deliver AI-powered products that change how customers interact with their money.

- Leverage a broad stack of technologies, including Pytorch, AWS Ultraclusters, Hugging Face, LangChain, Lightning, VectorDBs, and more.

- Be an expert in Natural Language Processing (NLP) to harness the power of Large Language Models (LLMs).

- Build machine learning and NLP models through all phases of development.

- Translate complex work into tangible business goals.

The ideal candidate is customer-focused, innovative, creative, a leader, technical, and influential.

Basic qualifications include:

- A Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in a quantitative field.

- 7+ years of experience performing data analytics.

- 2+ years of experience leveraging open-source programming languages.

- 2+ years of experience working with machine learning.

- 2+ years of experience utilizing relational databases.

Preferred qualifications include:

- PhD in a STEM field.

- Experience working with AWS.

- 5+ years of experience in Python, Scala, or R.

- 5+ years of experience with machine learning.

- 5+ years of experience with SQL.

The salary range for this role is: McLean, VA: $229,900 - $262,400 New York, NY: $250,800 - $286,200 San Jose, CA: $250,800 - $286,200
