## Description

We are seeking a Strategic Buyer to join our team at American Honda Motor Company. The successful candidate will be responsible for purchasing, cost negotiation, and subcontract administration of assigned materials and/or services from approved and qualified suppliers.

The Strategic Buyer will partner with internal customers to understand business needs, ensure adherence to procurement policies, and review requisitions for accuracy and completeness. They will lead RFQ processes, analyze supplier quotations, and implement cost negotiation strategies while ensuring compliance with bid requirements and delivering value/risk insights.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, and/or a technical field, with 0-3 years of experience in supply chain management.

**Key Accountabilities:**

- Partner with internal customers to understand business needs and ensure procurement policies are followed

- Lead RFQ processes and analyze supplier quotations

- Manage supplier communications and resolve commercial, quality, and performance issues

- Execute and manage purchase orders and maintain compliant procurement documentation

**Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:**

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, and/or technical field

- 0-3 years of experience in supply chain management
