## Description

Electronic Arts is seeking a Senior Software Developer to work on game integration and capture reliability. The successful candidate will be responsible for integrating shared capture technology into game production codebases and ensuring the reproducibility and maintainability of instrumented versions of the company's creations.

The role involves working with multiple Perforce streams, adapting engine systems to expose synchronized rendering, simulation, inputs, audio resources, and playability signals. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of professional experience in software development for AAA games, real-time simulations, or similar complex systems.

Key responsibilities include:

- Integrating shared software development kits for capture into dedicated streams for multiple Electronic Arts projects

- Ensuring continuous merging of project development streams and resolving integration conflicts while minimizing long-term fixes

- Developing custom adapters for engine outputs, camera state, inputs, physics, animation, navigation, audio resources, game state, and action events

- Configuring controlled capture modes, including fixed-time-step simulation, frame rate control, and synchronization between simulation, rendering, audio resources, and inputs

- Creating reproducible capture builds associated with Perforce change lists, dependencies, configurations, and precise schema versions

- Developing automated validation mechanisms to detect missing modalities, timing issues, dropped frames, corrupted outputs, and incompatible schema changes

- Identifying and debugging performance, memory, threading, and stability issues resulting from instrumentation

- Translating researcher requests into project-specific implementations and determining requirements that could become common capture platform capabilities

The position offers a salary range of $141,400 - $204,400 CAD and is based in Montreal, Redwood City, or Vancouver. The role is hybrid, requiring three days per week in the office.

Electronic Arts provides a comprehensive benefits package, including vacation time, sick leave, extended health and dental coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, and a retirement plan.
