The Instructor, Learning Lab is responsible for facilitating student learning and performance assessment(s) in on-site Clinical Learning Labs. Student learning activities in Clinical Learning Labs range from learning basic nursing skills to resolving simple-to-complex patient care situations via high-fidelity simulation. **Responsibilities:** - Serve as a professional role model for students - Demonstrate understanding of and participate in implementation of the philosophy and goals of the nursing program - Provide constructive feedback to students - Use evidence-based tools and measures to evaluate students' clinical learning - Maintain communication with the Supervisor, Lab Faculty - Engage in teaching through demonstration, practice, and assistance - Facilitate student advancement through the performance of basic nursing skills to resolution of simple and/or complex patient care situations via high-fidelity simulation - Assist students with application of clinical judgment, critical thinking, problem solving - Assist students in the application of the nursing process - Promote, provide, and maintain a safe learning experience - Incorporate student and self as an integral part of the nursing team - Support quality improvement measurements related to faculty and student satisfaction - Provide orientation and substantial first cohort support to new Learning Lab Instructors and Simulation Technicians - Assist in planning staff schedules - Assist in maintaining the supply inventory - Perform other related duties as assigned **Requirements:** - Active Nurse Practitioner license and current Nurse Practitioner Certification - MSN required (contingent on State Board of Nursing regulations) - 2+ years of professional work experience - Experience with primary care procedures - Demonstrated subject matter expert with assigned content or practice area(s) - Active and unencumbered RN License in the State of Utah **Preferred Qualifications:** - Strong experience with distance education and distance learning students - Experience in simulation-based education - Experience with integrated technology systems and tools **Salary:** $38.79 - $58.17 per hour **Benefits:** - Mental healthcare - Retirement savings plan - Wellbeing program - Prorated paid holidays and accrued sick time ## Skills ### Required - Nurse Practitioner license - Nurse Practitioner Certification - MSN - primary care procedures - simulation-based education ### Nice to have - distance education - distance learning students - integrated technology systems and tools --- Source: [Apply at wgu.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com](https://wgu.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/en-US/External/job/Salt-Lake-City-UT/Onsite-FNP-Instructor--Learning-Lab---Salt-Lake-City--UT---Part-Time_JR-026226?utm_source=yubhub.co&utm_medium=jobs_feed&utm_campaign=apply)
