## Description

We are seeking a Data Engineer to build and maintain the systems that collect, store, process, and analyse data. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the resilience, scalability, and reliability of critical payment systems within the Merchant Services domain.

**Responsibilities**

- Build and maintenance of data architectures pipelines that enable the transfer and processing of durable, complete and consistent data.

- Design and implementation of data warehouses and data lakes that manage the appropriate data volumes and velocity and adhere to the required security measures.

- Development of processing and analysis algorithms fit for the intended data complexity and volumes.

- Collaboration with data scientist to build and deploy machine learning models.

- Perform prescribed activities in a timely manner and to a high standard consistently driving continuous improvement.

- Requires in-depth technical knowledge and experience in their assigned area of expertise.

- Thorough understanding of the underlying principles and concepts within the area of expertise.

- Lead and supervise a team, guiding and supporting professional development, allocating work requirements and coordinating team resources.

**Requirements**

- Experience in solution design and AI implementation, translating business requirements into scalable data and technology solutions using AI, automation and cloud technologies.

- Strong understanding of Data Product operating models and modern data strategies to enable scalable, trusted, and reusable data assets.

- Strong understanding of data architecture and end-to-end data solution design.

- Experience in data analytics and reporting, transforming complex datasets into actionable insights to support business decision-making.

- Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills across business and technology teams.

- Experience in developing data visualisations and dashboards using Power BI and Tableau.

- Experience in technical to business documentations and translations.

- Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience using JIRA.
