## Description

We are seeking an Early Career Distribution Design Technician in Training, Design Support to join our team in either Orlando or Pensacola, Florida.

As a key member of our Distribution Team, you will work on projects and contribute to the success of our clients. In this role, you will assist in developing skills with CADD design on basic projects, generate accurate design phase deliverables, and ensure that responsibilities are delivered to a high standard.

Your main tasks will include:

- Developing working knowledge of Client/WSP CAD Standards and Compliance

- Adhering to WSP's QA/QC procedures

- Maintaining high drafting quality and efficiency

- Using AutoCAD and MicroStation to support project requirements

- Working within Bentley's ProjectWise document management system

- Completing training on assigned tasks

- Exercising responsible and ethical decision-making

To succeed in this role, you will need:

- A High School Diploma

- 0-2 years of experience

- AutoCAD 2020-2025 experience

- Adobe PDF creation skills

- Flexibility to changes in work assignments

- Ability to use architectural and engineering scales

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Aptitude for technology

- Foundational understanding of distribution systems

- Willingness to learn and grow

Preferred qualifications include:

- Associate's degree in a closely related discipline

- Experience with MicroStation

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products

- Background in basic mathematics

- Experience with 2D drafting and detailing

- Bluebeam Revu experience

- Working knowledge of survey coordinate systems

- Practical intern or utility industry experience
