## Description

GitLab is seeking a Director, Strategic Partnerships to own two of its most important external relationships. This role involves shaping partnership strategy and driving execution, working closely with GitLab's evolving AI strategy and future AI-powered DevSecOps platform.

The Director will serve as the primary owner and point of contact for one hyperscaler and one major AI lab, personally accountable for direction, operating rhythm, and outcomes of each partnership. Responsibilities include:

- Developing and driving multi-year partnership strategies and joint plans

- Building strong working relationships across partner organisations

- Running a disciplined operating cadence across complex initiatives

- Coordinating cross-functional work inside GitLab to support partnership goals

- Translating partner opportunities and requests into actionable internal plans

- Tracking and communicating measurable partnership outcomes

- Representing partnerships at the executive level

Requirements:

- Significant experience building and managing strategic partnerships in enterprise software, cloud, and/or AI

- Strong ownership mindset with ability to operate as a single-threaded owner

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Strong project and program management skills

- Technical fluency in software development, platform integrations, and AI or machine learning

- Experience working with senior stakeholders on high-visibility initiatives

- Ability to influence without formal authority and build strong working relationships

- Familiarity with the DevSecOps ecosystem

The base salary range for this role is $168,000-$285,600 USD. GitLab offers various benefits, including flexible paid time off, equity compensation, and employee stock purchase plans.
