## Description

We are seeking a Senior Mining Geotechnical Engineer to play a strategic role in delivering complex mining projects, contributing directly to the safety, sustainability, and performance of mining infrastructure in Quebec and across Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and coordinate mining geotechnical engineering mandates from conceptual studies to construction

- Resolve complex issues related to mining residue parks, dams, waste rock piles, and other critical infrastructure

- Manage multidisciplinary projects integrating geotechnical, hydrogeological, hydrological, geochemical, and environmental components

- Ensure overall integration and technical quality of reports and deliverables in accordance with WSP's quality processes

- Provide technical assistance to operating mines to optimize processes and reduce risks

- Supervise and mentor junior and intermediate engineers, both in the office and on site

- Actively contribute to business development in collaboration with other business units and existing client relationships

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geological, Mining Engineering, or a relevant discipline

- Master's or Ph.D. in Geotechnical Engineering or a related field (an asset)

- Member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec (OIQ) or eligible

- Recognized senior experience in mining geotechnical engineering, mining residues, dams, or embankments

- Solid experience in managing complex projects and multidisciplinary coordination

- Excellent technical writing and review skills

- Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken

- Demonstrated commitment to health, safety, and industry best practices
