## Description

WSP is seeking a Distribution Engineer – Experienced Professional for their Spring/The Woodlands, TX office.

As a Distribution Engineer, you will develop detailed designs for medium voltage electric distribution systems, including overhead and underground infrastructure from 120/240V – 24.9kV.

Key Responsibilities:

- Review and advise on third-party design documents, procurement lists, and project plans.

- Research and recommend components identified in design requirements.

- Verify site characteristics and provide technical input on engineering, design, testing, and construction procedures.

- Develop plans, specifications, and cost estimates.

- Coordinate with clients and internal teams, and support project execution from design through construction.

- Prepare construction-ready drawings using tools like DDS, AUD, AutoCAD, and MicroStation.

- Perform system layouts and material estimates.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).

- 3 to 5 years of relevant post-education experience as an electrical engineer.

- Engineer in Training Certification.

- Experience working with Operations and project controls.

- Proficient knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices.

- Project management experience with small to mid-level projects.

- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.

- Highly capable self-leadership with attention to detail and prioritization of responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Master's Degree in Engineering.

- Essential Professional Licensure/Certification.

- Experience managing small to mid-size projects.

- 40-Hour OSHA Health & Safety Training (HAZWOPER).

- Basic First Aid and Adult CPR training.
