## Description

Our team builds and runs cloud-native services and AI capabilities used daily by Cisco engineers, customers, and developers. We focus on taking generative and agentic AI from demos to production, prioritizing reliability and security.

You will build and maintain secure microservice applications and REST APIs on AWS and Kubernetes, develop and integrate AI capabilities, and apply secure coding practices. Your responsibilities include writing automated tests, contributing to CI/CD and monitoring, and ensuring quality as the platform grows.

**Minimum Qualifications:**

- Bachelor's + 7 years or Master's + 4 years of related experience, or equivalent related work experience.

- 2+ years of professional software engineering experience with production code in Python, Java, Go, or JavaScript/TypeScript.

- 1+ year of experience with microservices, REST APIs, or cloud-based applications on a public cloud platform like AWS.

- Hands-on experience with containerized applications in Kubernetes.

- Experience building applications with generative AI or large language models.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

- Experience with AI-powered applications, AI agents, vector databases, RAG pipelines, and LLM APIs.

- Familiarity with AI frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, or Semantic Kernel.

- Knowledge of AI security, guardrails, responsible AI, and AI governance practices.

- Curiosity and continuous learning with the ability to take feedback and collaborate across teams.
