EA’s Digital Platform (EADP) organisation is responsible for driving critical technology decisions and investments for EA on a global scale, across all divisions and studio teams. As a JAVA software engineer intern, you will get hands-on experience working on one of the world's largest gaming platforms to help build incredible games.

Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with product managers, senior engineers, and peers to understand requirements and build large-scale distributed applications

- Develop and deploy new microservices and enhance existing ones

- Ensure high-quality code, testability, maintainability, and automated test coverage

- Analyse and troubleshoot cloud-native applications for performance and scalability

- Implement observability, metrics, traces, and telemetry for features

- Prototype new technologies and validate against success criteria

- Coordinate with teams across various geographies and communicate progress

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field

- Solid foundation in computer science fundamentals, algorithms, design patterns, and data structures

- Expertise in object-oriented design and programming, particularly in Java or Scala

- Strong problem-solving abilities and knowledge of databases, cloud technologies, and DevOps tools

- Experience with source control management tools like Git
