## Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Fuchs Lubricants Co. in Harvey, IL. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for providing expert-level repairs, troubleshooting, and maintenance services to ensure the smooth operation of our facility.

The role involves:

- Performing various preventive maintenance activities, completing work orders, and recording information in Manager+

- Troubleshooting motor control systems, replacing defective devices, and maintaining electrical systems

- Troubleshooting 3-phase and 1-phase equipment, including pumps, agitators, air compressors, and hydraulic systems

- Maintaining systems to ensure mechanical compliance with Illinois state regulations, such as the Facility Fire System, Steam boilers, and Elevator lifts

- Repairing and replacing mechanical seals in fluid power equipment

- Fabrication and piping skills, including welding and piping assembly

- Repairing mobile equipment, such as forklifts and aerial lifts

- Working safely, following site safety procedures and work permit processes

- Responding to ASRS fault codes and interfacing with the Savannah warehouse management system

- Performing electrical tasks, such as wiring and unwiring equipment

- Troubleshooting fault alarms and assisting operations in the FT Batch program

- Assisting with other departmental duties as needed

To qualify, you will need:

- A high school diploma and 5+ years of experience

- Technical school certification is a plus

- Experience in automation and fabrication

- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems

- High proficiency in electrical and plumbing systems

- Experience with programming PLCs

- Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical schematics

- Experience with welding and piping assembly

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
