We are seeking an experienced Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technician II to join our growing team and support field operations in Laporte or Granger, Indiana. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of field testing procedures, and the ability to perform testing and inspection activities independently while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and client service.

**Your Impact**

- Perform field and lab testing of concrete, soils, and asphalt in accordance with ASTM, AASHTO, and project requirements

- Collect, label, and transport construction material samples for laboratory analysis

- Operate and maintain field and lab testing equipment, including slump cones, air meters, nuclear density gauges

- Prepare accurate field documentation such as reports, data sheets, photographs, and sample logs

- Communicate test results and observations clearly with project managers, contractors, and supervisors

- Follow WSP safety policies, maintain PPE, and work safely in active construction environments

- Support project teams with additional field assignments as needed

**Who You Are**

- High school diploma or GED

- 3+ years of experience in construction materials testing, inspection, or a related field

- ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade I

- ACI Concrete Strength Testing Technician

- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

- Ability to lift 60 pounds routinely (equipment, tools, samples)

- Ability to walk on uneven ground and stand for extended periods

- Reliable, punctual, and able to work weekends and occasional night shifts

- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

**Preferred Qualifications**

- AWS CWI

- NICET Level I in Soils, Asphalt, or Construction Materials Testing

- KYTC, ICC, or other state-specific technician certifications

- Nuclear gauge safety training

- OSHA 10/30, First Aid/CPR, or comparable safety training

- Coursework or a degree in Civil Engineering, Geology, Construction Management, or related fields
