## Description

As a Manager, Data Scientist at Capital One, you'll lead the next wave of disruption using the latest computing and machine learning technologies across billions of customer records. The Data Solutions and Model team builds machine learning and AI agents to support fraud/risk, merchant acceptance, and monitoring.

**In this role, you will:**

- Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver customer-loved products

- Leverage technologies like Python, Conda, AWS, H2O, Spark to reveal insights in large data volumes

- Build machine learning models through development phases

- Translate complex work into tangible business goals

**The Ideal Candidate is:**

- Technical, experienced with open-source languages and cloud computing platforms

**Basic Qualifications:**

- Quantitative field degree (Bachelor's, Master's, PhD) with relevant experience

- Experience with open-source programming languages, machine learning, and relational databases

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- PhD in STEM field with model development experience

- Experience with Python, Scala, R, machine learning, SQL, Large Language Models, and AI workflows
