Pay is based on several factors, including labour markets, education, work experience, and certifications. As a Food Service Team Leader at Target, you will be responsible for leading a team of hourly team members to deliver a consistent guest experience. Your main responsibilities will include: - Consistently delivering guest experience commitments to create an Easy, Inspiring, and Friendly guest experience - Ensuring every team member understands and consistently delivers on Target's guest experience commitments and consistent operations - Actively observing and providing feedback to team members, holding them accountable while recognising great guest experience moments - Reviewing area guest, financial, and team outcome metrics to identify opportunities for improvement - Planning departmental daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver sales - Assigning daily tasks to team members based on planned workload and guest traffic patterns - Assessing Food Service back-of-house, production areas, dining spaces, and merchandising spaces to ensure food safety and proper inventory levels - Following all food safety requirements and cleaning routines - Validating and following up on team members' progress against department checklists and routines - Leading the team to uphold and maintain all Starbucks and Pizza Hut Brand Standards and production specifications - Ensuring accurate in-stocks by placing store-initiated orders according to best practices - Making production quantity decisions just-in-time to ensure freshness, in-stocks, sales, and profitability are achieved consistently - Remaining up-to-date on relevant trends and products to educate team members - Participating in team hiring and onboarding processes - Establishing clear goals and expectations and holding team members accountable - Demonstrating a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance - Leading and demonstrating a safety culture through modelling and recognising safe behaviours - Demonstrating inclusivity by valuing diverse voices and approaches - Supporting merchandise protection strategies across the total store - Occasionally assuming store-level leadership on duty responsibilities - Addressing all store emergency and compliance needs - Supporting guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick-up, and Drive-up To be successful in this role, you will need: - A high school diploma or equivalent - To be at least 18 years of age or older - Previous retail experience preferred, but not required - Strong interest and knowledge of the food service business - Ability to lead and hold others accountable - Effective communication skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment - Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members - Access to all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues - Ability to interpret instructions, reports, and information - Accurately handling cash register operations as needed - Climbing up and down ladders if needed - Scanning, handling, and moving merchandise efficiently and safely - Flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays - Reliable and prompt attendance necessary Target offers eligible team members and their dependents comprehensive health benefits and programs, including medical, vision, dental, life insurance, and more.
