## Description

Thought Machine is looking for a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to join their Security Engineering team in Lisbon. The team is responsible for designing and delivering solutions to security problems, and the ideal candidate will have experience with cloud security, threat modeling, and security tooling.

The Senior Cloud Security Engineer will provide security expertise and mentorship to engineering teams, lead the design and delivery of cloud-native security controls, and develop security tooling and automation. The candidate should have experience with containerized applications, cloud networking architecture, and security in distributed systems.

Responsibilities:

- Provide security expertise and mentorship to engineering teams

- Lead the design and delivery of cloud-native security controls

- Develop security tooling and automation

- Collaborate with other teams to maintain a secure operating state in production

- Perform security reviews and testing

Requirements:

- Familiarity with building and deploying containerized applications in public cloud

- Knowledge of cloud networking architecture and security

- Experience with threat modeling and design reviews

- Knowledge of security in distributed systems

- Familiarity with good security practices with containers and Kubernetes

- Experience with languages such as Go, Python, or other modern programming languages

The company offers a salary range of €75K - €95K and a hybrid work arrangement.
