## Description

The Data Science & Analytics team at Asana turns data into decisions, defining key questions, surfacing answers, and ensuring insights drive critical product and business calls.

As a Senior Analytical Engineer, you will own data foundations for a business domain, turning raw data into reliable datasets that stakeholders trust and use. You will define business logic and metric standards for AI-powered self-serve, consuming governed Silver tables and producing the Gold layer and semantic layer for crucial metrics, dashboards, and Genie spaces.

This role is based in our Warsaw office with a hybrid schedule: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday in-office, with flexibility to work from home on Wednesdays and potentially Fridays.

**Key Achievements:**

- Own the Gold layer for a business domain (e.g., PLG funnel, marketing attribution, revenue, NPI/AWM)

- Implement canonical business logic for core KPIs

- Build and curate the semantic layer and Genie spaces for self-serve

- Maintain the metric dictionary for your domain

- Author data contracts and SLAs at the Silver→Gold boundary

- Develop certified, board-ready dashboards on governed Gold data

- Collaborate with Product & Business, Data Science, and Engineering to create scalable datasets

**Requirements:**

- 4+ years in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a related role

- Advanced SQL and strong data modeling fundamentals

- Experience with transformation frameworks (e.g., dbt), orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow), version control (Git), and modern data platforms (Databricks experience preferred)

- Practical experience with data quality testing, observability, schema management, and query performance tuning

- Domain fluency in at least one business area and judgment to resolve data disputes

- Strong cross-functional partnership and communication skills

- Curiosity about AI-native analytics and tools like Claude and Genie

The estimated base salary range for this role is between 20,833 - 23,700 PLN gross per month.
