## Description

SpaceXAI is seeking a Sous Chef to join their team in Memphis, Tennessee. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the kitchen and café space, ensuring high-quality food and a pleasant environment for employees.

### Responsibilities:

- Manage cost controls and expenditures

- Create pricing schedules for all meals

- Source high-quality, local, sustainable, and organic ingredients

- Plan and create menus with a focus on seasonal items and creativity

- Purchase and manage inventory

- Enforce food quality standards

- Conduct staff meetings on food safety, quality issues, and innovations

- Ensure the safety of the physical kitchen and café space

- Cater company events as needed

- Create a welcoming environment for employees to share meals

- Develop a structure for in-house catering and event support

### Basic Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalency certificate

- 3+ years of sous chef or culinary management experience

### Preferred Skills and Experience:

- Degree in culinary arts

- High-volume production and catering experience

- Proven ability to create innovative menus daily

- Ability to perform under pressure

- Excellent communication skills

- Creative spirit with the ability to integrate culinary experiences into the company culture

### Additional Requirements:

- Willingness to relocate to Memphis, TN, if not already local

- Ability to provide 24/7 on-call support for emergencies and critical operations
