## Description

Working at Target means helping all families discover the joy of everyday life. The Assets Protection (AP) team plays a crucial role in keeping guests, team members, and the brand secure. As a Target Security Specialist, you will use intelligence-led tactics to prevent and resolve theft and fraud, ensuring products are available for guests.

Responsibilities:

- Create an easy, inspiring, and friendly guest experience

- Greet guests, help them find what they need, and resolve issues promptly

- Support team efforts and maintain a positive attitude

- Promote a physical security culture throughout the store

- Respond to and document security incidents accurately and in a timely manner

- Leverage de-escalation tactics and resources when responding to security incidents

- Conduct merchandise theft recoveries and provide theft apprehension support as needed

- Prevent theft and shortage at the front of the store

- Submit documentation in the case management system for all incidents

- Understand and use Target's video surveillance system

- Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance

Requirements:

- At least 18 years old

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Meet state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements

- Welcoming and helpful attitude towards guests and team members

- Ability to communicate effectively and work independently and as part of a team

- Manage workload and prioritise tasks independently

- Remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment

Physical demands:

- Climb up and down ladders

- Apprehend subjects in accordance with company policy

- Scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely

- Flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays

- Capable of working in varying temperatures and humidity levels
