## Description

We are seeking a Sonographer to join the team at Thornbury Hospital in Sheffield, part of Circle Health Group. This is a bank role working on an 'as and when required' basis, supplementing staffing levels during busy periods and providing cover for existing staff.

**Responsibilities:**

- Participate in the efficient and safe operation of the Imaging Department, providing a high-quality ultrasound service to patients.

- Carry out diagnostic ultrasound scans within your scope of competence.

- Assist with planning and maintaining an effective workflow within the department.

- Complete and maintain departmental records, including patient charges.

- Participate in Quality Assurance tests and supervision, training, and peer review.

- Report equipment malfunctions and comply with department policies and protocols.

**Requirements:**

- Broad range of sonography competencies.

- Experience of autonomous practice and independent reporting.

- Customer care experience.

- Diploma in medical ultrasound (DMU) or Post-graduate certificate or diploma (Pg Cert / Dip).

- Competency to assess, scan, diagnose, and report ultrasound caseload.

- Understanding of safe clinical practice and Health & Safety regulations.

- Experience in performing/reporting sonographic examinations: Abdominal, Renal, Gynaecology (Transvaginal, Transabdominal).
