## Description

GitLab is seeking a Corporate Development Director to help influence how the company invests to win. The successful candidate will lead research to frame GitLab's options, drive deal processes end-to-end, and deliver strategic clarity to executives and the Board.

**Strategy and Research**

- Own the wider market view, researching the broader market GitLab competes in

- Build an investment thesis for each focus area

- Maintain market maps and a current read on GitLab's competitors

- Define where GitLab should not play

**Build, Buy or Partner**

- Run the build, buy, partner analysis for each strategic gap

- Deliver strategic clarity to executives and the Board

- Feed company strategy and planning

- Work hand in hand with Strategic Partnerships

**Deal Execution and Integration**

- Own end-to-end deal process management

- Evaluate the deal and develop valuation

- Lead cross-functional diligence

- Drive deal documents with Legal

- Own integration outcomes

**Requirements**

- 8+ years across corporate development, corporate strategy, strategy consulting or technology investing

- Structured strategic thinking

- Market research depth

- Deal craft

- Technical fluency

- Clear executive communication

- Influence without authority

- Ownership with collaboration
