## Description

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Online Software Engineer to join our EA SPORTS FC team. As an Online Software Engineer, you will help build networked game experiences for EA Sports titles. You will work on prototyping, planning, implementing, and maintaining new features and technology for the biggest sports video game franchise in the world, EA SPORTS FC.

Responsibilities:

- Implement server features, components, and services using EA's central technologies.

- Develop and maintain client code to support features and improve multiplayer experiences.

- Optimize client and server online systems for latency, reliability, scalability, performance, and memory.

- Design and iterate on architecture and infrastructure improvements for live systems and workflows.

- Collaborate with partner teams to stand up and maintain online infrastructure and services for the title.

- Own experiences through the full stack, from UI in the game client to backend services and databases.

Qualifications:

- 6+ years of experience in software development with strong proficiency in C++.

- Experience with multi-threaded/concurrent architectures and networked applications.

- Familiarity with database technologies (e.g., MySQL, SQL, Redis) and networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, UDP).

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

Nice to Have:

- Experience developing AAA video games.

- Experience with modern game engines (e.g., Frostbite, Unreal Engine, Unity).

- Experience working with gaming platforms (e.g., Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo).

- Experience with dedicated servers, matchmaking systems, telemetry, and online platform services.
