## Description

We are seeking an experienced payroll expert to join our team at AVL Deutschland GmbH in Mainz-Kastel. As a senior payroll specialist, you will be responsible for end-to-end payroll processing, collaborating with HR, managing external interfaces, and driving process and automation improvements in SAP.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Oversee monthly payroll processing from start to finish

- Ensure compliance with all relevant labour, tax, and social security regulations

- Maintain and update payroll and time management master data and transactions in SAP and DATEV

- Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll-related queries from external parties and internal departments

- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities and internal and external audits

- Contribute to the optimisation, automation, and further development of payroll and time management processes

**Requirements:**

- Completed commercial training or equivalent qualification in HR, accounting, or taxation

- Several years of experience in payroll, preferably in a corporate environment

- Proficiency in SAP, particularly SAP HCM and Payroll

- In-depth knowledge of labour, tax, and social security law

- Experience working with external tax consultants and audit bodies

- Structured, responsible, and discreet work style with strong service and communication orientation
