## Description

As a Supplier Technical Assistance (STA) Electronics Engineer at Ford Motor Company, you will support global suppliers with manufacturing technical expertise as they invest and grow their business to support Ford's production needs.

The Ford Purchasing team plays a critical role in sourcing high-quality parts and services from around the globe while ensuring optimal cost and on-time delivery. As an STA Electronics Engineer, you will implement commodity-specific business plans to ensure suppliers meet corporate launch, quality, capacity, warranty, and vehicle delivery metrics. You will lead cross-functional decisions with Ford and supplier leadership to drive resolution of open issues, implement actions to prevent vehicle losses from suppliers, and serve as the principal for on-site troubleshooting and corrective actions during emergency supplier situations.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct sourcing risk assessments, onsite evaluation visits, and supplier risk assessments for new suppliers, commodities, and programs

- Industrialize new suppliers or technologies and support capacity studies and eCAR report reviews

- Review supplier incremental tooling work plans for compliance with Ford's Phased PPAP process requirements

- Drive failure mode avoidance through PFMEA, SCCAF, CP reviews, and Health Chart deployment

- Ensure compliance with special processes such as FEMR

- Drive manufacturing excellence and quality performance using methodologies like G8D, SPC, Gage R&R, and Lean Manufacturing

- Resolve supplier quality issues and ensure compliance with organizational training and SIM process requirements

Qualifications:

- Bachelor of Science/Engineering or academic equivalent

- 5 years of experience analyzing machine settings and machine vision systems

- Understanding and application of relevant electronic manufacturing standards and material regulations

- Experience in process planning, implementation, and launch in Electronics Manufacturing Systems

- Project management or program launch experience

- Demonstrated knowledge of Problem Solving and Quality System Tools

- Fluency in English

- Ability to travel to suppliers' sites (up to 70%)
