## Description

We are seeking a Compliance - Surveillance Operational Performance Analyst – Sr. Analyst to join our newly formed Manila Compliance Surveillance function. The successful candidate will support the Operational Performance team, focusing on scenario calibration and effectiveness, model risk, and quality adherence.

The primary responsibility of the team is to provide observations on the quality and effectiveness of surveillance models through ongoing performance monitoring and make recommendations to compliance management to optimize effectiveness and efficiency of surveillance scenarios used globally across the Investment Bank, Corporate Bank, and Private Bank to detect market abuse.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Support the team in the calibration and effectiveness review process for trade surveillance scenarios

- Review existing processes and procedures, providing input and recommendations for enhancements

- Analyze large and complex data sets to identify patterns, trends, and outliers, providing actionable insights

- Support the broader surveillance team and Technology (TDI) in analyzing alert scenario and detection engines' ability to capture specific use cases

- Review and interpret relevant industry regulations and internal Deutsche Bank policies to evaluate their pertinence to compliance surveillance controls

- Work on ad-hoc surveillance tasks as needed

**Requirements:**

- Knowledge of financial markets and their operations

- Familiarity with market abuse and market manipulation principles

- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and sound judgment

- Ability to analyze large data sets and investigate potential issues

- Multitasking and project management skills

- Sound foundation of knowledge relating to compliance and regulatory requirements

- Fluency in English; fluency in Asian or European languages is a plus

- Proficiency in MS Office, macro writing a plus
