## Description

We are seeking an Experienced Facilities Plant Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Kennedy Space Center, FL. The successful candidate will support the Experimental Systems Group (ESG), which delivers new capabilities to customers rapidly and affordably across various technology domains.

The Facilities Plant Maintenance Specialist will provide general support in response to routine trouble calls, perform basic maintenance and repairs, and oversee contractor on-site activities. The ideal candidate will have basic knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, as well as construction and blueprint reading.

**Responsibilities:**

- Provide general support in response to routine trouble calls

- Perform basic maintenance and repairs on manufacturing plant and office facilities

- Oversee contractor on-site activities

- Work with support organizations, including IT, EHS, HR, and Security

- Support cleaning of facilities as needed

- Maintain accurate records for maintenance repairs

- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures

- Work closely with engineering and production teams to understand customer requirements

- Participate in training sessions to stay updated on best maintenance and safety procedures

**Requirements:**

- Basic knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems

- Basic knowledge of construction

- Ability to read basic blueprints and drawings

- Demonstrated understanding of customer service concepts

- Basic knowledge in the repair and maintenance of manufacturing plant and office facilities

- Basic knowledge of power tools and repair equipment

- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds

- Experience working from heights and using fall protection equipment with weight limitations

- Willingness to work any shift, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends

- Experience with Maintenance and Facilities

- Experience with janitorial/custodial services

**Preferred Qualifications:**

- Experience working with Haxtrax and MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets)

- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)

- Experience working across organizations and cross-functional groups

- Ability to work independently and with others

- Experience operating a Forklift

- Experience working in a manufacturing, assembly, and/or aerospace environment

- Experience in Facilities Maintenance
