## Description

We are seeking a Purchasing Senior Specialist to join our team at American Honda Motor Company. As a Purchasing Senior Specialist, you will be responsible for managing mass production part ordering and delivery through effective planning, communication, and supplier interface.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or equivalent related experience, and at least 2+ years of relevant experience.

Key accountabilities include:

- Managing supplier on-time delivery, DTR's, and components to ensure high levels of parts availability

- Preventing and resolving backorders

- Supporting new model parts availability

- Striving for continuous improvement through PDCA

- Developing capability of self, colleagues, and team

The role requires strong technical problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demanding deadlines.

**Responsibilities**

- Manage mass production part ordering and delivery through effective planning, communication, and supplier interface

- Track and distribute necessary inventory and supplies required for production and/or other core business activities

- Manage complex projects and handle complex supplier accounts

- Apply technical problem-solving skills to prevent impact to operations and support achievement of department targets

- Manage service part delivery through effective planning, communication, and supplier interface

**Requirements**

- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or equivalent related experience

- 2+ years of relevant experience

- Strong technical problem-solving skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
