The Identity & Access Controls team builds systems that verify customers, grant access to advanced model capabilities for approved use cases, and prevent misuse. As a software engineer on this team, you will build identity, vetting, and access management infrastructure, along with monitoring and enforcement tooling.

## Key Responsibilities

- Build identity verification and vetting systems (KYC/KYB) for individual and business customers

- Design and implement access control systems for approved use cases

- Develop infrastructure to configure safety systems and detection thresholds for trusted access programs

- Create monitoring to detect misuse and tooling for enforcement teams

- Detect and remediate account takeover

- Integrate with third-party identity verification and data enrichment vendors

- Develop monitoring dashboards, alerts, and internal admin tooling

- Collaborate with policy, enforcement, threat intelligence, and go-to-market teams

## Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or comparable experience

- Experience building and operating backend systems in production

- Proficiency in Python and SQL

- Strong communication skills

- Care about the societal impacts of AI

## Preferred Qualifications

- 6+ years of industry software engineering experience

- Experience with identity, authentication, or authorization systems at scale

- Experience with KYC/KYB workflows or identity verification vendors

- Experience in trust and safety, integrity, fraud, or abuse detection

- Experience detecting and responding to account takeover or credential compromise

- Experience partnering with operational teams to build custom internal tooling

The annual compensation range for this role is $320,000-$405,000 USD.
