At Bayer, we're seeking a Senior Area General Manager (Sr. AGM) to lead our Asundexian - Midwest team. In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in building the team, driving the success of Asundexian, and ensuring it reaches healthcare practitioners and patients who will benefit from its transformative impact.

The Sr. AGM, Asundexian is accountable for delivering top-line targets while effectively leading and managing a dynamic cross-functional customer-facing team within their business unit. You'll manage a cost base consisting of personnel and flexible spending and make necessary trade-offs to maximize impact.

Key Responsibilities:

- Accountable for achieving revenue goals for the area. Execute comprehensive strategies and initiatives to drive revenue growth and market share in the region.

- Develop and lead a high-performing team in the business unit. This team includes sales representatives, institutional sales specialists, key account managers, and other specialized roles.

- Identify, retain, and attract high-performing talent for the organization. Build and lead high-performing sales teams, with proven coaching and talent development skills.

- Gain and apply a deep understanding of relevant markets, business models, strategic priorities, future direction, and financial drivers.

- Define the local area strategy and priorities in collaboration with the cross-functional and HQ team.

- Direct local squad P&L by closely monitoring monthly financial reports, optimize budget utilization through strategic allocation for various marketing and customer engagement initiatives and programs.

- Develop long-term relationships with influential customers to address current and future business opportunities and advance brand(s) adoption.

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree is required.

- A current, valid, and unrestricted driver's license is required for this role.

- Significant experience working in Stroke, Anti-Coagulation and Cardiovascular therapeutic areas.

- Able to create local vision and strategy for the greatest business impact.

- Demonstrated success in formulating and implementing business plans in a highly matrixed, cross-functional environment.

- Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to work through complexity.

- Solid selling and negotiation skills.

- Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, market access, medical, and patient access to ensure commercial execution.

- Exceptional leadership skills with proven ability to influence teams to drive performance.

- Experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams, strongly preferred.

- Thorough understanding of health systems, customer segments, regional market dynamics, and KOL development within the therapeutic area(s).

- Willing and able to travel routinely on a weekly basis.
