## Description

We are seeking a Healthcare Assistant to join our team at The Harbour Hospital in Poole, part of Circle Health Group. This bank role involves working on an 'as and when required' basis to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

- Assisting in delivering safe and effective care across the theatre department, supporting patients throughout their surgical pathway

- Preparing theatres for procedures, including equipment checks, stock preparation, and ensuring the environment is clean and ready

- Supporting the safe movement and positioning of patients pre- and post-operatively under the direction of registered practitioners

- Engaging with patients in a respectful, dignified, and empathetic manner, helping to alleviate anxiety and ensure comfort

- Communicating appropriately with members of the multidisciplinary team, contributing to smooth handovers and coordinated care

To be considered for this role, applicants should meet the following criteria:

- Previous experience working in a clinical or healthcare support role

- Good verbal and written communication skills with a compassionate, patient-centred approach

- Willingness to undertake training and competency development in theatre-specific care

- Understanding of infection control, safeguarding, and basic health and safety principles

The salary for this role is £12.71 per hour, depending on level of experience, training, and qualification.
