## Job Overview

As a Systems Technical Writer at Helsing, you will create and maintain technical documentation for multidisciplinary drone hardware and software programmes. You will work closely with engineers to extract technical knowledge and translate it into precise documentation for internal teams and external operators.

## Responsibilities

- Author and maintain high-quality technical publications, including Interface Control Documents, System Architecture Descriptions, Operator Manuals, and Maintenance Guides.

- Document physical, electrical, and logical integration interfaces, working with electronics and software engineers.

- Author flight-test procedures, aerodynamic performance envelopes, and flight-limitation documentation with flight-test and aerodynamics teams.

- Create clear isometric line art, block diagrams, and system flowcharts from SolidWorks, NX, or electrical schematics.

- Participate in design reviews, validation events, and hardware integration sessions to verify procedure accuracy.

## Requirements

- Experience authoring structured technical documentation across multidisciplinary engineering domains, including mechanical, electrical, software, and aerodynamic systems.

- Ability to read and interpret 3D CAD assemblies, electrical wire harness schematics, PCB layouts, and software API documentation.

- Proficiency in structured authoring tools such as MadCap Flare, Adobe FrameMaker, LaTeX, or Confluence.

- Experience translating complex engineering architectures into user-facing procedures and operator manuals.

- Fluent in both written and spoken English and German.

## Nice to Have

- Familiarity with aerodynamic performance documentation and flight manual authoring in a certified aerospace or UAV operating environment.

- Experience creating visual technical content directly from CAD source files.
