## Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Band 5 Staff Nurse to join our established team in the Day Case and Endoscopy Unit at Queen Mary's Hospital.

As a Staff Nurse in our Day Case Endoscopy Unit, you will be responsible for assisting in the 10-bedded recovery area as well as providing support and assistance in both the endoscopy rooms and operating theatre.

Key responsibilities include:

- Completing detailed admission pre-procedure checks

- Providing patients with support and monitoring in recovery

- Providing comprehensive discharge reports and surgical findings

- Assisting in the endoscopy rooms for diagnostic and minor therapeutic procedures

- Assisting in the operating theatre, scrubbing and circulating for a variety of surgical procedures

The successful candidate will be required to have:

- Current UK professional registration as a First Level Registered Nurse / ODP

- A minimum of 6 months post-registration experience in an acute setting

- Awareness of professional responsibilities

Desirable qualifications and experience include:

- ENB 998 or equivalent teaching qualification

- Minimum 6 months experience working within the Endoscopy setting

We offer a competitive salary of £38,488 to £46,852 per annum, pro-rata.
