## Description

We are seeking a highly skilled R&D Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering organisation, you will be responsible for designing engineering solutions, leading project teams, and collaborating with internal and external partners to develop reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality products.

**Responsibilities**

- Deliver product designs and assemblies to production on time, to specification, and within budget, ensuring functionality, reliability, safety, and performance.

- Develop and implement parameters and test plans for new and existing designs, including validation of tolerances, form/fit/function, shock and vibration, electromagnetic interference, safety, reliability, and acoustics.

- Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of concepts and principles within your area of experience.

- Collaborate and communicate with management, internal teams, and outsourced development partners regarding design status, project progress, and issue resolution.

- Manage relationships with outsourced partners and suppliers, setting expectations regarding deliverables, product quality, schedules, and costs.

- Lead a project team of mechanical hardware engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality solutions for moderately complex products.

- Generate process efficiencies and products that meet necessary business requirements through quality documentation and project management.

- Solve problems in straightforward situations, analysing possible solutions using technical experience and judgment.

- Provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced staff members.

**Education & Experience**

- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

- Typically 4-10 years of work experience in engineering design and solutions, implementation across hardware development lifecycle, or a related field.
