As an Android Software Engineer on the Guest Engagement team, you will create the next generation of engagement experiences that help bring new guests into the restaurants, and turn them into regulars.

**Responsibilities**

- Design, build, and maintain high-performing, flexible, and scalable Android solutions running on Toast POS hardware in thousands of restaurants.

- Ship features end-to-end, from design through rollout, monitoring for success, and iterating based on real-world use.

- Build great UX using best practices of modern Android development.

- Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Engineering stakeholders, and actively participate in Agile ceremonies.

- Partner with team members and other engineers across the company to raise the bar for the Android experience at Toast.

**Requirements**

- Minimum 2-4 years of experience with Android development in Kotlin and/or Java, with hands-on experience shipping production Android apps.

- Hands-on experience with modern Android tooling and frameworks.

- Experience with AI-assisted development and LLM-based agents.

- Comfortable reading and integrating with backend services (REST/GraphQL).

- Strong software development fundamentals , code quality, unit tests, clean code.
