## Description

We are seeking a Technical Lead to provide technical leadership and hands-on expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining test automation frameworks and testing strategies, including the adoption of AI-powered testing.

The successful candidate will be accountable for the overall software quality of applications and releases, drive quality engineering practices, mentor engineers, and deliver efficient, scalable, and sustainable testing solutions across projects.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Lead the design, development, and long-term maintainability of test automation frameworks and libraries (e.g., Cucumber + Ruby + Selenium)

- Drive the evaluation, pilot, and adoption of AI-powered testing capabilities to improve coverage, speed, and maintainability

- Ensure responsible and controlled use of AI in testing, including model/tool governance and human review of AI-generated artifacts

- Partner with cross-functional teams to design and implement fit-for-purpose automation solutions and tooling for complex mission-critical applications

- Consolidate test libraries, utilities, and tools from multiple projects into reusable, well-governed shared assets

- Define, publish, and enforce testing standards, frameworks, and engineering best practices across projects

- Lead continuous improvement and innovation in test automation and quality processes

- Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to test engineers and automation specialists

- Remain hands-on in project delivery, including test design, scripting, and troubleshooting of automation in live project cycles

- Own the overall software quality of assigned applications and releases

**Required Skills & Qualifications:**

- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field

- 8+ years of experience in software testing and quality engineering, including at least 3 years in a technical leadership role

- Strong expertise in testing techniques, test automation tools, and frameworks (Cucumber, Selenium, Ruby)

- Proficiency in scripting/programming languages (Ruby, Python, Java)

- Experience with CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitLab) and cloud or containerized environments

- Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile, and DevOps practices

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

- Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities

**Preferred Skills & Qualifications:**

- Hands-on experience with AI-powered testing

- Experience with AI-adaptive automation stacks (e.g., Python + Playwright)

- Background or experience in financial markets, trading, clearing, and/or risk management systems

- Ability to prioritize workload under pressure, managing tight deadlines across multiple concurrent projects
