## Description

Priory Nelson House in Gosport, Hampshire, is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will be part of a compassionate team committed to patient wellbeing. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will assist qualified staff with assessing and implementing individual patient care plans, undertake routine tasks, and provide practical support to patients.

Key responsibilities include:

- Assisting qualified staff with patient care plans and undertaking routine tasks

- Providing practical support and responsive care to patients with intimate personal needs

- Observing and monitoring patient wellbeing and referring unusual occurrences to senior staff

- Contributing to a team approach to patient care with the multidisciplinary team

- Participating in regular ward meetings and attending other meetings as requested

- Maintaining stock levels, ward cleanliness, and adhering to infection control policies

- Developing and maintaining professional relationships with patients, colleagues, and visitors

The role requires:

- Education to a minimum of NVQ 1 or GCSEs in Mathematics and English

- Understanding of the need for strict confidentiality

- Basic IT literacy

- Well-developed observational and listening skills
