## Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen at HM Land Registry (HMLR) for a Senior Internal Auditor to join our Finance and Business Services directorate.

We are looking for a confident, experienced Senior Internal Auditor to play a vital role in the delivery of risk-based assurance services to support HMLR's ambition.

You will support the Head of Internal Audit and your Senior Internal Audit Manager in delivering the organisation's internal audit services, providing an assurance to the Chief Executive and Audit and Risk Committee on the effectiveness of the organisation's governance, risk management and control frameworks.

Your role will include:

- Conducting a range of high-profile audit assignments, in line with Global Internal Audit Standards (GIAS) as directed by the Head of Internal Audit, Senior Internal Audit Manager and the Audit and Risk Committee.

- Managing your own time to deliver allocated audit engagements within agreed service levels.

- Supporting managers throughout the organisation by responding to requests for advice or help on any risk or control issues or special investigation.

- Assisting the Head of Internal Audit and Senior Internal Audit Manager in the management and development of the internal audit service, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

- Keeping abreast of both technical and professional developments, including maintaining Continuing Professional Education (CPE) requirements.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Significant recent internal audit experience demonstrating strong audit and assurance knowledge and expertise in line with GIAS.

- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, demonstrating ability to communicate key messages clearly and succinctly to stakeholders and senior leaders.

- Organised and able to manage your own time and resource effectively and efficiently.

- Strong analytical approach to information and data.

- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, demonstrating ability to build good relationships with a variety of stakeholders at all levels in an organisation.

This role also attracts a non-pensionable allowance in addition to the base salary (£2943 for CIA or £4709 for CMIIA and up to £8245 for an accountancy qualification).

Alongside your salary of £47,084, HM Land Registry contributes £13,640 towards you being a member of the Civil Service Defined Benefit Pension scheme.
