## Description

The Assets Protection Specialist role at Target involves protecting guests, team members, and the brand by mitigating shortage risks, preventing theft and fraud, and ensuring product availability. The role requires using surveillance and intelligence-led tactics, implementing Assets Protection practices, and documenting cases.

Responsibilities:

- Create an easy, inspiring, and friendly guest experience

- Support total store sales, guest service, and increase profitability

- Resolve theft by using good judgement and conducting apprehensions

- Identify theft trends and prevent theft by gathering intelligence

- Understand and use video systems to monitor theft activity

- Respond to security incidents and submit documentation

- Promote a physical security and safety culture

- Demonstrate inclusivity and value diverse voices

- Work in a safe manner and comply with safety policies

- Maintain positive work relationships with public safety officials

- Participate in legal proceedings as necessary

Requirements:

- Must be at least 18 years of age

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Meet state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements

- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members

- Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners

- Effective communication skills

- Ability to work independently and with a team

- Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently

- Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment
