## Description

As a Classroom Security Paraprofessional with The Menta Education Group, you will work closely with classroom instructors and staff to provide targeted teaching and support to students in the classroom, as well as general support for all students in the school.

**Staff Details**

- Work hours: 7:30 am to 3 pm, Monday to Friday, following a 10-month school calendar

- Salary: USD 17.97-27.06 per hour

- Paraprofessional certification is offered

**Responsibilities**

- Facilitate classroom functions and assist the teacher

- Manage classroom behaviors and maintain order and safety

- Implement and maintain behavioral program policies and data

- Provide general supervision of students and assist in preventing and managing incidents of non-compliance

- Respond to emergency situations and provide interventions to students

- Think quickly, independently, and tactfully

**Qualifications**

- Security or Juvenile Justice background is helpful

- Military Veterans are encouraged to apply

- Ability to operate tactfully under stress and flexibility to change routines

- At least 23 years of age

- Able to work with high-risk special needs students
