As a Physical Therapist - Outpatient Neuro, you will join an amazing group of motivated neuro PTs, OTs, and speech therapists who provide excellent care to those they serve. The role is located in our Outpatient Neuro Therapy department at South University.

**Responsibilities:**

- Conduct examinations, evaluations, and interventions on clients/patients/residents affected by injury or disease

- Utilize tools and techniques to administer physical therapy interventions following safeguards

- Document client's/patient's/resident's information for evaluation; establish therapeutic plans and modify them if necessary

- Educate clients/patients/resident's and their family members about treatment plans/schedules and self-exercises to be continued at home

- Demonstrate and incorporate knowledge of current research into daily treatment of clients/patients/resident

- Maintain and further personal education and training to continue to be viewed as an expert in their field

- Treat individuals of all ages with varying diagnosis and disorders

- Follow and adhere to accepted clinical practice guidelines of professional organisation

- Exhibit flexibility with acceptance of variable work schedules/assignments

- Participate in activities to promote the department, Good Samaritan Society, and Sanford Health

- Interact with individuals outside of the department, including providers, case managers, third-party payers, public organisations, companies/contractual partners, etc.

- Supervise assistants, aides, and students as they provide client/patient/resident care, treatment, or other services

- Provide ongoing education and training to peers in the area(s) of expertise as determined by the department leadership

- Perform other related duties as requested by manager, including mentoring of new staff

**Requirements:**

- Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure

- Minimum of two years of Physical Therapy experience or have graduated from an accredited American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) residency program and have passed the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS) board exam to obtain the board-certified designation of specialty practice

- Licensed in the state(s) of practice as a Physical Therapist

- Valid driver's license when applicable

- Obtain and maintain required department-specific competencies and certifications

- Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers required or within the first 60 days of employment
