As a Senior Adjuster / Expert(e) en sinistres principal(e), your primary purpose is to investigate and adjust property and casualty claims, both residential and commercial, with little to no supervision.

**Responsibilities:**

- Investigate and evaluate insurance claims to determine coverage, liability, and amount to be paid

- Conduct interviews with claimants, witnesses, and other parties involved

- Inspect damaged sites as needed

- Prepare estimates for cost of repair and/or replacement

- Negotiate and settle claims within authorised limits

- Maintain accurate records and reports

- Participate in mediations and arbitrations as needed

- Collaborate with defence lawyers as needed

- Develop and maintain client relationships

- Assist with local marketing and business development

**Requirements:**

- Post-secondary education

- PAA designation or working towards obtaining one

- Valid driver's licence

- Demonstrated expertise in claims adjustment and negotiation

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

- Proficient in computer systems, including Microsoft Office and Excel

- Ability to work independently and in a team environment

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

**Nice to Have:**

- Knowledge of insurance industry and claims process

- Experience working with external systems and software

- Strong organisational and time management skills
