## Description

As a Gastroenterology Team Leader, you will provide day-to-day operational leadership and line management of the administrative teams, including Patient Pathway Coordinators and Booking Coordinators.

Key responsibilities include:

- Ensuring effective delivery of administrative services and performance targets

- Undertaking recruitment, induction, appraisal, attendance management, and development of administrative staff

- Overseeing the performance of Patient Pathway Coordinators and Booking Coordinators

- Managing consultant, junior doctor, and locum rotas to ensure safe and effective service delivery

- Providing comprehensive administrative support to the Business Manager, Assistant Service Managers, consultants, and wider multidisciplinary team

The successful candidate will have:

- A degree level qualification or equivalent experience

- Evidence of continuing professional development

- GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics

- Experience of working collaboratively with administrative, nursing, and medical teams

- Experience of managing operational workloads and competing priorities

- Advanced IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and other Office applications

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with staff at all levels

The salary for this post is £36,943 to £44,900 a year, inclusive of High Cost Area Supplement.
