## Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced full stack Staff Software Engineer (with a focus on UI) who is passionate about building large-scale, mission-critical infrastructure in a fast-paced agile environment. The ideal candidate will be excited about joining a platform team that is driving several cross-functional initiatives within the company.

You will be responsible for driving the forward-looking UI vision for Identity Lifecycle and Administration group. We are looking for an experienced UI Engineer to work on our Onboarding and Lifecycle Management (LCM) Platform team with focus on enhancing and managing services for importing, syncing and provisioning identities and access policies i.e., users, groups, roles, entitlements, etc. These features allow customers the flexibility to link and enhance their business processes with Okta’s identity management product.

In this role, you’ll get to:

- Serve as the definitive design reviewer for high-impact proposals, ensuring long-term technical integrity and maintainability.

- Translate design intent into high-quality implementations , paying close attention to accessibility and the small details that add up to a great product feel

- Shape a culture of continuous learning by proactively sharing knowledge, mentoring other engineers on the team, and establishing best practices.

- Collaborate with designers and product managers, and drive the iterative process of turning a design into something that works beautifully in the browser.

- Be a hands-on contributor, driving the implementation and ensuring the technical quality of the platform's most complex and foundational components.

## Requirements

- 8+ years of software development experience

- Significant experience with frameworks such as Spring, React.js, or Node.js.

- Expertise in software architecture and implementation, with a strong development background in a language like Java, Python, or C++

- A strong grasp of software engineering designs, principles, and practices, with a focus on building scalable and maintainable systems.

- You have strong communication skills and can distill complex concepts into simple, easy to understand narratives

## Nice to Have

- Performance optimization for web apps , profiling, reducing bundle size, improving rendering performance, and understanding where latency comes from end-to-end

- Accessibility best practices and building inclusive user interfaces
