## Description

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to shape the future of people-facing and business-facing products at Pinterest. You will utilize your expertise in quantitative modeling, experimentation, and algorithms to solve complex engineering challenges. You will collaborate with cross-functional partners across Product, Engineering, Design, Research, Product Analytics, Data Engineering, and others.

Responsibilities:

- Develop best practices for instrumentation and experimentation and communicate those to product engineering teams.

- Bring scientific rigor and statistical methods to product creation, development, and improvement.

- Build and prototype analysis pipelines iteratively to provide insights at scale.

- Work cross-functionally to build and communicate key insights.

- Leverage AI to seek faster execution and explore alternative options.

- Leverage AI to synthesize information and automate repeatable tasks.

Requirements:

- 5+ years of experience analyzing data in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

- Extensive experience solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches.

- Experience solving problems within digital advertising is preferred.

- Familiarity with online experimentation and its pitfalls.

- A scientifically and statistically rigorous approach to analysis and data.

- Ability to manipulate large data sets with high dimensionality and complexity.

- Excellent communication skills and ability to explain learnings to both technical and non-technical partners.

- Demonstrated ability to use AI to improve speed and quality in your day-to-day workflow.

- Strong track record of critical evaluation and verification of AI-assisted work.

- High integrity and ownership.

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, or equivalent experience.
