## Description

We are seeking an International Consultant to support the Continental Stocktaking Consultation on the implementation of the 2012 Global African Diaspora Summit Declaration.

The consultant will be engaged for approximately 6-8 weeks over a three-month period to undertake a stocktaking exercise and prepare a report outlining achievements, bottlenecks, and proposed way forward.

The overall purpose of the consultancy is to provide technical and analytical support to AU-CIDO and IOM SLO in conducting a comprehensive continental stocktaking of the implementation of the 2012 GADS Declaration and Programme of Action.

The consultant's responsibilities include:

- Taking stock of implementation progress of the 2012 GADS Declaration across AU Member States

- Identifying key achievements, experiences, good practices, and innovative approaches in implementing the Declaration

- Documenting challenges, gaps, and lessons learned from Member States' experiences

- Gathering and analyzing relevant information through desk review and consultations with Member States and other relevant stakeholders

- Preparing a continental stocktaking report presenting the findings and key messages for discussion during the consultation

- Facilitating the virtual Continental Stocktaking Consultation

- Incorporating feedback and inputs received during the consultation and finalizing the stocktaking and workshop reports

The expected outcome of the consultancy is a concise, evidence-based continental stocktaking of the implementation of the 2012 GADS Declaration, highlighting progress, good practices, challenges, and lessons learned across Member States.
