## Description

As a Senior Electrical Engineer at WSP, you will lead the design and delivery of complex electrical systems for innovative transportation, municipal, institutional, commercial, and industrial projects across Canada.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Leading the electrical design and delivery of infrastructure projects from concept through construction

- Overseeing the design of power distribution, fire alarm, grounding, lightning protection, emergency power, and life safety systems

- Guiding, mentoring, and supporting intermediate and junior engineers, EITs, designers, and co-op students

- Preparing engineering calculations, technical specifications, contract documents, design reports, and professional sealed deliverables

- Collaborating with project managers, clients, contractors, and stakeholders to achieve project objectives

- Managing multiple projects simultaneously, balancing scope, schedule, budget, quality, and resource requirements

- Conducting design reviews, quality assurance activities, and technical oversight to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements

- Representing WSP in client meetings, industry engagements, and multidisciplinary coordination efforts

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO)

- 10 to 15 years of progressive experience designing electrical systems for transportation, commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities

- Demonstrated expertise in power distribution, fire alarm systems, grounding, lightning protection, emergency power, life safety systems, and electrical studies

- Strong knowledge of Ontario Building Code (OBC), Ontario Electrical Safety Code (OESC), Canadian Electrical Code (CEC), CSA, NFPA, IEEE, ASHRAE, and related standards

- Proven experience leading multidisciplinary projects through various project delivery models

- Advanced project management capabilities

- Ability to review, coordinate, and defend engineering designs with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders

- Experience using electrical engineering analysis software

- PMP designation considered an asset

- Experience with control, communications, and security systems

- Familiarity with integrated Complementary Resource Centre (iCRC) delivery models

In terms of compensation, the salary range for this position is:

- AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $114,600 – $151,800

- MB & ON: $104,500 – $143,900

- NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $103,500 – $137,400
