## Description

We are seeking a Senior SW & Controls Engineer to join our team at AVL Maroc SARL AU. You will be responsible for analyzing system requirements to identify functional needs and software constraints. Your tasks will include defining and documenting software functional requirements, designing software functional architecture, developing control functions and algorithms, and performing static model verification and validation.

Your responsibilities will also involve:

- Developing control functions and algorithms using the Model-Based Design approach in MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow

- Performing static model verification to ensure compliance with modeling guidelines and standards

- Validating the functional behavior of models through Model-in-the-Loop (MiL) simulations

- Automatically generating embedded software code from validated models

- Conducting Software-in-the-Loop (SiL) simulations to verify the functional compliance of the generated code

- Participating in software integration and collaborating with internal teams and external partners

To succeed in this role, you will need:

- A Master's degree or Engineering degree in Embedded Systems, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related field

- At least 3 years of experience in software development and testing using the Model-Based Design approach

- Strong knowledge of ICE, xHEV, and BEV powertrain architectures

- Solid understanding of ISO 26262 fundamentals related to functional safety

- Good knowledge of embedded communication protocols, including CAN, LIN, FlexRay, and UDS

- Familiarity with ASPICE processes and requirements

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proactive mindset, and high level of commitment to project success
