## Description

We are seeking a Data Engineer ETL to join our team at Barclays, where you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining the systems that collect, store, process, and analyse data.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

- Building and maintaining data architectures and pipelines to ensure accurate, accessible, and secure data

- Designing and implementing data warehouses and data lakes to manage large data volumes and velocities

- Developing processing and analysis algorithms to handle complex data

- Collaborating with data scientists to build and deploy machine learning models

As a Data Engineer ETL, you will be expected to:

- Advise and influence decision-making, contribute to policy development, and take responsibility for operational effectiveness

- Lead a team performing complex tasks, using well-developed professional knowledge and skills to deliver high-quality results

- Demonstrate leadership behaviours, including listening, energising, aligning, and developing others

To be successful in this role, you should have experience with:

- ETL skills, preferably in Abnitio and DBT

- Strong SQL skills

- Unix and bash scripting

- Tivoli and/or Autosys

- Data Modelling (Conceptual, Logical, and Physical)

Highly valued skills include:

- Experience in Python, Java

- Good communication skills

- Good teamwork experience
