## Description

Electronic Arts is seeking a Software Engineer with expertise in developing and integrating runtime machine learning solutions to join the team.

The successful candidate will report to a Leader of Engine Development and collaborate with game teams, central technology engineers, and researchers to bring ML models into the hands of players by deploying them directly within EA games.

**Responsibilities:**

- Evaluate, adapt, extend, and improve existing machine learning runtime technologies, while designing and implementing new solutions from the ground up when needed.

- Partner with ML experts across EA to assess, apply, and scale models and architectures for on-device performance.

- Translate ML concepts, tradeoffs, risks, and technical constraints into clear language for different audiences.

- Build end-to-end solutions for running machine learning models across a variety of devices.

- Write clean, well-documented, and well-tested code that integrates smoothly with existing systems.

- Stay current with advancements in Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning, Generative AI, and related fields by exploring industry developments, identifying relevant research, and proposing ways to apply it.

- Contribute to Frostbite's and EA's ML/AI communities by sharing knowledge, collaborating with partners, and mentoring teammates.

**Qualifications:**

- 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with C++, including an understanding of multithreading and performance optimization.

- Experience profiling and optimising real-time software.

- Practical experience with software engineering fundamentals, including version control, code reviews, documentation, automated testing, coding standards, CI/CD, issue tracking, and Agile development.

- Knowledge of ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.

- Experience building and shipping end-to-end ML systems in real-world production environments.

- A BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent professional experience.

- Knowledge of GPU programming.

- Experience with game programming.

- Knowledge of ONNX or other intermediate representations for ML model graphs.
